Without the computer a lot of the things would take much longer to do and some not even possible.
2. automobiles Automobiles is one of the world’s most important inventions. It is the world’s second most used type of transportation right under walking. In today’s society there is no time for wasting, people all have busy lives, so any modern cities needs transportation, masses of people need a fast way of getting from point A to point B. Almost every household here in Victoria has a automobile of some kind and even if not there is public transportation like buses. I could not imagine walking all the way to downtown if i could just have a 15 minutes car ride instead, now all that needs to be done, is finding a clean source of power to fuel these automobiles.
3.TV
The television is important because it shows how people spend a long amount of time trying to invent new ways to entertain ourselves and make our lives easier instead of spending it on scientific research and other outlets that could help more than just us. With out TVs we will have to be stuck with reading. bleh :(
4.microwave
The microwave is important because it is an easy way to cook and prepare food without the time consuming process of putting it in the oven. The microwave is one of the many inventions that was stumbled upon when researching another separate invention. These inventions show how even when people are not trying to invent objects they still can randomly imagine new tools to make life easier for everyone. __http://www.gallawa.com/microtech/history.html__
5.clocks and watches First invented in the 1500s,the clock is one of the most useful things invented. The world would be be a utter mess if people could not tell time. For example, people cannot be on time for things such as school, work, meetings, etc... or even set a time for things at all. I personally would feel lost with out clocks or watches in my life so this invention deserves a spot in my library.
6.Internet
The Internet is a very good way to show how people are always communicating with each other and finding new ways to communicate with people around the world faster. The Internet was founded through military research and is a product of the constant fear of ourselves as humans and how we kill for power.
7.refrigerator This invention allowed the abilities to preserve food and keep them fresh for much longer periods of time. New types of food such as frozen dinner, ice cream and many others were all made possible due to the refrigerator. With out this people would be forced to have to make a lot more trips to the grocery store and masses of food would be wasted after they go bad.
8.toilet
The toilet might be usually overlooked by most as they use it every day and to them its a automatic action. Just imagine if you had “go to the washroom” with out a toilet, you would have to resort to going outside and find a private spot every single time. 9.telephone & cell phones
We as humans communicate a lot, and it is a necessity in our everyday lives. Telephones provide us the ability to talk with someone with out having to go find them in person. cell phones provide even better convenience since it is portable and can be carried everywhere. For example i someone is in danger they can call 911 or in my personal experiences know i have often forgot a project at home and all i had to do was to call mom to bring it to school.
10.camera
Cameras are an example of how we as humans like to remember certain aspects of our past. Although it only is a memory of one sense it is still the best way to record memories that we can later take out and review with friends and family. Without cameras we would still only be able to take visual memories by drawing or painting which is not only time consuming but only a small amount of the public can draw well.
The building This building is a giant three story dome with walls and floors made of glass that is place onto the bottom of the ocean. This layout allows us to observe creatures from the deep that have possibly never been seen before by human eyes. This library would be accessible from a connection of intricate elevators and walkways made of glass allowing further inspection of the ocean. Once in the library you will notice that it has high ceilings and several pillars. The pillars are to hold the dome up under the tremendous weight of the water, while, the high ceilings are to make large amounts of open surface area to view the creatures of the deep in. The car is placed on the bottom floor as to not create more strain on the dome and its pillars. All the food related items(refrigerator, microwave) are placed in the kitchen which is beside the garage on the bottom floor. The camera, phone, clock, and toilet are all placed in the room directly above the kitchen. The television is placed by itself in the room beside the kitchen. And the computer with access to the internet through a private dish(incased within a separate glass dome), is in the topmost room above the TV room.
